Head Baker/Assistant Manager

The Role
We're searching for a talented and experienced Head Baker/Assistant Manager to join our team. This key role combines your love of baking with the opportunity to develop your leadership skills.
As a Head Baker, you'll be responsible for the daily production of our artisan breads, ensuring consistent quality and adhering to our high standards. You'll also work alongside other bakers to maintain a clean and efficient work environment.
Your leadership skills will come into play as you assist the Bakery Manager with overseeing a small team. This may involve delegating tasks, providing training, support and feedback, and maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

What You'll Bring

At least 3 years of experience baking sourdough bread and pastries, with a proven track record of producing high-quality products.

A passion for baking and a strong understanding of bread-making techniques

Experience in using a variety of baking equipment is a plus

Experience in managing or supervising a small team is essential

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills

The ability to work independently while also being a strong team player

A commitment to health and safety regulations.

What We Offer

A competitive salary of £28,000-£32,000 dependent on experience

Tuesday to Saturday working pattern, 45 hours per week

​As a Baker, you'll be responsible for the daily production of our artisan breads, ensuring consistent quality and adhering to our high standards. You'll also work alongside other bakers to maintain a clean and efficient work environment.

At least 2 years of experience baking sourdough bread and pastries, with a proven track record of producing high-quality products

A passion for baking and a strong understanding of bread-making techniques
